The Goulbourn Hornets Major Bantam Boys basketball team
capped off a highly successful season by winning gold medals
at Basketball Ontario’s Division 3 Provincial Championships.
The local team was seeded 5th going into the championships.

Gold Medals from the Eastern Ontario Basketball Association
Championships held April 15, 2007 in Cornwall. The team,
seeded in Division 1, went undefeated and were declared the

- Silver for Stingers
The Goulbourn Stingers Major Midget basketball team brought
home Division I silver medals from the 2007 Eastern Ontario
Basketball Championships played in Brockville on April
13th-14th. The Stinger’s first game in round robin
play was Saturday morning versus the Barrhaven Blue Devils.
The Stingers played a strong first game, were up 21 – 9 at
half and went on to win 37-23. The second game in round
robin play was against the Ottawa Celtics.

Atom Girls Basketball Team Brings Home Silver Medal!
The Goulbourn Atom Girls competitive basketball team brought
home the Silver Medal in Division 2 of the 2007 Eastern
Ontario Atom Girls’ Basketball Championships held Friday,
March 30 to Sunday, April 1st . The Stingers began the
tournament with their usual stingy defense against the
Ottawa Shooting Stars leading to a 30-21 win. The second
game saw the Stingers defeat a strong Kingston Cavaliers
squad by a score of 28-25. More...

Team Brings Home Silver Medal!
The
Goulbourn Major Midget Boys competitive basketball team
brought home the Silver Medal with a near perfect record at
Senior Boys Wolverine Basketball Tournament 2007 in
Gloucester from Friday March 30th to April 1st. Strong
offensive and defensive efforts contributed by the entire
team were the key elements as the Hornets went unbeaten at
4-0 in the elimination round.

Medal Champions for Goulbourn’s Major Bantam #1 team
The Hornets #1 Major Bantam team returned home with Bronze
Medals after traveling to Hamilton on March 30 to April 1,
2007 for the Blessed Sacrament AAA Tournament, which saw 112
teams participating from across Ontario.

Tournament, hosted by the Gloucester Cumberland Basketball

Goulbourn Stingers travelled to Osgoode to play in their
first tournament of the season. The team only has four
returning players from last season, but the first year
